UDN, Inc. and GNIJS of Ohio are united in our cause to open up Ohio state science curriculum to fair, even-handed and objective discussion of all sides of the issue of the origins of life.

Although we believe the Ohio Board of Education has improved its track record with the recent debate between proponents of teaching evolution and those in favor of intelligent design, we are aghast that the State failed to notify our group of the debate, invite one or two of our speakers, or show the slightest recognition of our position on the issue at all.

I have absolutely got to find that science-fiction anthology with this story … basically, it’s “God’s” diary of the creation of the solar system. Except “He” is in deity kindergarten, and this is his first creation project. He thought the dinosaurs were really, really cool. :-) Didn’t get a good grade, though …

what do you suppose GNIJS is?

“I have absolutely got to find that science-fiction anthology with this story”

OMFG I’VE READ THAT STORY!!!! It was in this science fiction anthology at my aunt and uncle’s house. Next time I’m there I’ll check it out.

Isn’t it amazing that we both read the same mediocre story from an obscure sci-fi anthology? The internet really brings people together… ;)

Of course, for a more disturbing look at creation stories, pick up Robert A. Heinlein’s “The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag”.
